🚌 Early dismissal: All HoCo public schools are closing 3 hours early today in anticipation of dangerous weather. After school activities are canceled and field trips are also canceled.

🌮 No more fajitas: On the Border in Elkridge closed on Friday. This particular outpost of the iconic yet struggling Tex-Mex chain was one of the Gateway Overlook shopping center’s original tenants when it was built about 18 years ago.

🔒 Suspended: Columbia Academy Maple Lawn was shut down last week after a state investigation found several violations. Endeavor Schools, the Miami-based company who operates the school, says it’s addressing the issues and looks forward to re-opening. ($)

🕰️ Just in time: HoCo Board of Appeals member Felita Phillips has filed to run for county council in District 5. She’s pitching her land use experience as a key qualification as District 5 faces its first comprehensive rezoning in since 2013. ($)
